About Monika Djerf-Pierre

Monika Djerf-Pierre received her Ph. D. in Journalism and Mass Communication at University of Gothenburg 1996. She is now Professor at the Department of Journalism, Media and Communication (JMG).

Reasearch Areas

Journalism (environmental journalism, journalism history, political journalism, gender and journalism), public service broadcasting, political communication, the sociology of journalism, media management, crisis communication, and gender and the media.

Current Research Project

Teaching

Organization communication, Methodology (quantitative content analysis, text analysis, research methods), Theories in Media and Communications Research and Philosophy of Science in Media Studies.
